Weight and Scales
I got weighed at the doctor's office yesterday (turns out I've had a sinus infection for months) and I weighed 119- that's about four pounds less than I normally weigh on my scale. What a difference in perspective.

Listening to your body
I've felt like I was coming down with something for the past few days. My bridal shower is this week-end and I refuse to be sick for it, so I've been taking it really easy. I've debated going to the gym for two nights in a row and ultimately decided against it. The guilt from not going and the anxiety of being thrown off of my nice active routine I've had going on has been stressful. I'm trying to remind myself that it's the choices we make daily over time that make a difference- one or two days without the gym won't wreck me and ultimately, I need to be kind to myself.

Feeling the effects of the personal trainer.
I finally made the decision last week to get motivated in the gym. I've been half or no assing it for months and something just clicked with me last week. I finally hit the highest number I've ever been, dresses that I bought just a few months ago are a little snug, and more than anything I want to be able to focus on me, for once. I want to be strong and toned and in shape. I could tell from my first weight training session without him what a difference having the personal trainer has made in my attitude about lifting. It's not that I push myself as hard as he does- but I push myself a lot harder than I would have otherwise and I can actually feel the difference. I was sore this morning!
