lrueter sent the following motivation to clwilliams1: Now I'm depressed. You made me log in and the first thing I saw was my weight chart from 6 months ago, the trend line of which would move down to the bottom of screen if I were to post today's weight! Well, I'm doing a 2mile run with my son and daughter this weekend, a 4-12-2 run, mtn. bike, run duathlon next weekend and then the 5 mile Mud Run the weekend after that. So, I've been running a bit, but have a long way to go to get back to the October fitness (and weight) level. I really still haven't made up my mind that I want to do this, but I NEED to.

lrueter sent the following motivation to clwilliams1: It's 8:00 in the morning - 80 degrees and 83% humidity in Austin! 35 and 89% humidity in Anchorage - 48 and 59% in Fresno. Man, what a difference!

lrueter sent the following motivation to clwilliams1: Did a triathlon today - long course 800 yd swim, 24 bike, 6.2 run. Had a great race - 2:33. I was truly amazed at my run splits...didn't think I was capable of that, but I was determined no girls were going to pass me. Came out of the water about 6th and ended up the 5th woman overall and 2nd in my age group. Felt like I busted a lung on the run! Best part is I think if I slow it down a bit, the Longhorn will be doable. I certainly can't keep the pace I went today for twice that long. I finally feel like I'm getting something from those long rides and runs. I think I'll do one more long weekend and then taper for 2 weeks. Looking forward to seeing you.

lrueter sent the following motivation to clwilliams1: Yep - the old legs are starting to look like a MAN too - tee hee!! That's the problem though - I've done the long ones and even bricks with long miles, but I haven't gotten to the point where I'm convinced I can do this yet. It's hard!!!! I get to about 4 hours and my body says I'm done (and I'm gonna have 2 more hours to go!). Boy, training for you is exciting - moose, wasps, etc. The more you do the bricks, the better you start to feel. Keep it up - and try to push the miles up - this thing is gonna be grueling.

lrueter sent the following motivation to clwilliams1: I hear you on the running part. I'm doing some long runs and when I try to get off the bike and run, it's amazing how little energy I have left in my legs. Running after this distance ride is very hard. I'm not even to the point where I'm sure I can do this. Today felt good, but 4 miles was all I had. Good to see you back in the swing of things. Don't get discouraged now - you still have almost 2 months to go!!!
