Back Again
Well, I joined the gym...again. But I have confidence that this time I'll be able to kick ass. Went to the gym today and promised myself I would start small and only do what I felt capable of doing. That resulted in 2.55 miles in 45:00 minutes. Impressive? Maybe not, but for me it's a pretty big deal. I'm really proud of myself and I'm excited that for starting small I was capable of that. I almost ran an entire mile without stopping. I don't think I've ever actually been able to do that. If I keep this up, I may consider entering some sort of race, but that's definitely in the distant future...maybe. We'll see how it goes!

10 Minutes
I started the 10 Minute Trainer program today. I've measured myself, weighed myself, put all of the workouts into my calendar, and I'm determined. You have the option of doing three various 10-minute workouts each day, depending on the kind of results you want to see and the kind of time you have, so today I did all three of the specified workouts for the day. They kicked my ass, but not to the point where I feel defeated. I just feel really, really amazing. I'm looking forward to working hard and seeing the results!

Changes
I leave on Sunday to go live in a bungalow with no electricity and no running water and work as a raft guide. It's going to be a huge change, but I couldn't be more excited.

Hiking
Went to South Carolina with a friend this weekend and did a lot of hiking. It's definitely something that I love and enjoy doing, but I need to get the proper gear for it. I was wearing tennis shoes and slipped and fell quite a bit. I think I'm going to go on Wednesday and pick up some hiking boots and find some good trails in the area.

New Years
Didn't make any resolutions, because I know it's just setting myself up for disappointment. I am striving to do a lot of things better, for myself. I was supposed to go to the gym with Ashley today, but it didn't happen. I'm debating between going for a run, doing Wii Fit (or Wii Fit Plus) or both...or maybe neither. We'll see.
