    28 pounds to go...

...and as we move into August, I have planned my periodic goals/marking points: *Current*: 149-141 - I'll be excited that I am on the way and have truly started to take my weight-loss seriously. *Early August*: 140 - I'll start LOOKING slim again!! *August*: 139-131 - I'll probably cry... and start wearing some of the cute things that have been wasting away in my closet! *Early September*: 130 - Start to feel skinny again and fit WELL into old clothes... BUT DON'T STOP! *Late September thru October*: 125 - I'm so close (and so hott right now). And my birthday is October 29, so I can get a cute dress and be sexy for Halloween costumes! *November*: 117 - GOAL WEIGHT! Giving me a little room to fluctuate over the holidays and start a new resolution in 2009 to maintain my weight between 117 and 127! So, 28 pounds and 4 months to go.

    "Exercise releases endorphins...

endorphins make you happy, happy people don't kill their husbands...." Life can be pretty stressful these days, so hopefully that'll help weigh me down. I am also happier at work, which I think is definitely credited to eating better and exercising. I can absolutely feel that I am in a more pleasant mood, and I get along with my co-workers better than before.

    it's so empty

I need more DATA!! I also need to make more time to eat meals throughout the day. I bought some food to keep at the office, as did my diet buddy, so tmrw, I am prepared for breakfast and lunch. Hopefully, I'll get out of work early and with enough energy to hit some cardio in the evening. Something helpful I have been doing even before joining Gyminee: I keep a small diet diary. It's always in my purse, so I write down what I eat throughout the day (and I never want to write bad/junk/greasy stuff, so I don't eat them!), and I also write my weight and whether it is an a.m. or p.m. weigh-in. Keeps me reminded of my progress from day-to-day and from the first day to the current.

Yay for my BOF (best office friend), Rebecca introducing me to Gyminee. My goal is get back to my college weight (about 120 lbs.; last seen in early summer 2007). I gained a lot of weight in the past year. I started dieting in March, but didn't get serious until this month! Now, I have just lost 11.5 lbs, so I'm on the way to being trim and healthy. I'm 5'2'', petite/medium build, and not looking to be unhealthily skinny, just toned and even more importantly, I just want to feel healthy. When I am in good shape, I inherently feel better about myself, wake up ready for each day, I sleep better, focus better and perform better-- all the obvious. Trying to find time for exercise between work, school and a personal life is a challenge. But I'll be able to handle the heavy load of life better with muscles!
