Triathlon routine
Hi! I don't really have a routine per say as I go as I feel. I try to swim, bike and run every day or at least almost everyday cause sometimes I do only one or two out of the three. Because I wanted to finish an Ironman within about a year after getting out of my couch, I kept the intensity increasing and I got to a point where I was going for about 2.5 to 3 hours per day of intense training. My goal was to build as much endurance as I could, because I knew that an Ironman demanded a lot. I am now around1.5 to 2 hours per day, with some long rides on the weekend that can be up to 5 to 6 hours. I have tried to always make my trainings hard. The idea was to always go over the edge and never do a "comfort" training. After a while I got so tired day after day, that I allowed myself one day of comfort training when I really felt tired. Now that I think that I have built the endurance, I'm trying to increase the performance by trying to include as many interval training as possible. Plus every time I go out on the bike or for a run, I try to push as hard as I can and try to feel the burn so I know I'm a little over my current capacity. Happy training, I hope everything goes well for you!
