Im usually on the ball when it comes to checking my labels, but I got taken in by a fresh pasta dish from Longos. Turns out the serving size is 1/4 of the package, not 1/2 as I somehow thought it was. That means my unfilling dinner was 900 calories. Sure, it tasted amazing, but I wasnt full after. Ive split the leftevers into two containers to reign things in, but in future will have to make sure I have a large salad with this (or maybe just save 1/2 the pasta for another dish as I think that is where most of the calories is coming from). Thankfully I burned 600+ cal at the gym today, otherwise would be feeling a little nauseous at this news.

Clearly, it's new shoe time
A few weeks ago I was sidelined thanks to a nasty blister forming on one foot. My shoes are old, so Ive been expecting things to start Going Wrong for a while. I let the foot heal, and have been using the elliptical instead of outdoor running. Today though, I noticed that BOTH feet now have blisters forming in pretty much the same place. So, off to Amazon I go to order my shoes. New socks would probably be a good idea as well.

So despite having been to the gym four times last week, and eating pretty well, the scale has jumped up 2lbs from Saturday. Im guessing this is last night's dinner still lurking about as it was a big one (mother's bday). Not letting it get to me though as I know it's not sticking around. Off to the gym at lunch today for more cardio.

four times, w00t
Went to the gym four times in the last week, thats three times more than in the entire month of December. I have to say I am feeling a bit more energetic, which is nice as that is one reason Im trying to get into shape. Still, had a faceplant/carbsnarf day yesterday. I woke with good intentions, but didnt go to the gym in the morning and it derailed from there. I did go and buy new gym tops (and a swimsuit so I can do laps at the goodlife with the pool), so this morning I was actually looking forward to going to the gym. Go me!
