About Me
Ok, so here I am. I can think that I have started to record what I eat and track my calories many a times failed. I love the nutrition section here where I can more easily record my food intake, count calories and get a nasty visual of all the crap I put in my body!!!! Holy bat bites batman!!! So, though starting Gyminee hasn't made me jump up and start exercising or even attempt to eat better (yet), it *has* helped me focus on nutrition in general and it is working to build my motivation. I love being aware of the effects of my diet, and exercise (or lack thereof). I have gained about 40lbs over the past few years. I am not sure what happened, but I want to find that Crystal again, the one who felt healthy, confident, strong, and sickeningly optimistic! Now I can make new friends all over the world while doing it! So far, this rocks. I will be tracking my progress on twitter as well. Please friend me there since I have it blocked to public. www.twitter.com/mazzylicious

Successfully started with 4 times a week for 2 wee
Momentum is getting there. I have already noticed an increase in my endurance and stamina. Need to start adding more and work out 5-6 times a week. Weight isn't budging but I do feel stronger already. And that really means a lot to me. Off for a smoke :0P

joined a gym
after two years of trying to get motivated, I finally joined a gym. I can't take it anymore and I am getting married in JUNE! I was loosing 2-3 lbs a month and got down almost 20 lbs from 01/2010 to 09/2010. Then i went to bulgaria in oct to visit my fiancee's family, gained 7 lbs, then another 7!!! sooo, now four months later i can't get back in my routine and it seems if i eat anything i gain. it is so sad too... if i would have just continued on my 2-3 lbs a month i would have met one of my goals for June. :( now I have a lot more ground to cover. so here goes.

Workout Motivation
Hey Mazzy... Sorry for the delay in response but I don't use the site quite so religiously these days. Your post on my wall about finding it hard to keep up your motivation to work out...In the beginning, it is hard to stay motivated. I would suggest a couple of things though. Find someone/something to motivate you. I was more "self" motivated in the beginning, but as I've picked up running, I've found it helps to have a partner. It's hard to back out when someone else is counting on you =-) Also, maybe the biggest thing...just try to do SOMETHING every day. Even the least little bit helps. You'll find your motivation soaring when the results start showing up on the scale. Best of luck to you and "Keep Moving!!!"

no worries
I ate about 2 lbs of salt with my crabs. pretty sure that caused about 3lbs of water weight.

Hi Mazzy!
What worked for me was consistency. I basically worked out every day on one form or another (mostly running), and used the Daily Burn calorie counter for everything I ate. That really showed me how to eat. I was very surprised to learn I was low on protein intake, and too high on fat. I changed from burgers to chicken breast sandwiches, reduced peanut butter intake, and that was basically it. I'm now totally addicted to exercise (again, running mostly), and eat like a pig 5 times a day. Right now I'm working in Singapore, and did a 10K run yesterday afternoon in the heat and humidity. It was different but still fun. Again, consistency, both in diet and exercise are key. Stay strong - Mike
