About Me
I'm a junior at ASU, and a theatre student. I've been thinking about losing weight for a long time, but I keep having "life" get in the way. I've realized that I really need to change some of my lifestyle choices in order to actually attain my goal, and I hope to (in the long run) not only lose about 25 lbs, but also tone up and be in better physical shape than I have been.

moffittab's Journal
Still trying to get back into the swing of things. I'm moving and trying to do a lot of life-stuff right now, which makes it hard. Food has become a bit of a stress-reducing crutch, which is obviously not good if I'm trying to lose weight. I'm starting my pilates up again though, and I'm remember to try and eat more fruits and vegetables, so that's good at least. Goal for this week: Drink more water and get down to eating less than 1600 calories a day.

Sigh.
So I pretty much screwed up really bad. I had a whole bunch of projects and school stress and personal drama all happen around the same time and just quit caring. I've already noticed how much of a difference this has made in my self-confidence, as I was feeling really good about the progress I had made - only to look in the mirror today and have chipmunk cheeks again. I really don't want to live like this! I need to get back into the game... School is almost out so I won't have access to a gym anymore, but I do have a couple of free weights and a mat, so I can at the very least continue doing pilates at home. Also, I hope to do a lot of walking now that the weather is nicer. I'll be able to go back to the gym when it reopens the end of may, but in the mean time I'm sure I can find other ways to get in exercise. The biggest thing is regaining control of my eating habits. I've just quit caring. I hate that. Ug. So yeah. I CAN DO THIS! I was losing the weight before, I sure can go back and do it again - and this time not only keep it off but lose more than that!

Arg.
I'm PMS'ing right now so I'm essentially eating everything in my apartment. Its kind of insane. Spring break is this next week too, and I'll be stuck in town with no gym to go to...

New Goal
I've been trying to go abroad to study for a long time now, but I'm starting to think that its not going to happen. In any case, in order to distract me from that dissapointment I have a new goal: To get down to 160 lbs before the end of the semester. I think it should be more than doable, with a little work. My summer goal is to keep losing weight and be around 145 to 150 by the time september rolls around.

so academically i am having the craziest week EVER. but i'm staying on top of my resolutions overall. I didn't work out yesterday, which really bothered me all day... I'm at the point where I love going to the gym and its a part of my routine. Yay! Good news: I've tried putting on a couple of my "these sure have gotten tight" pants and they all fit me much better already! I'm finally believing that I can lose the weight, so this is just the tip of the iceberg. :)
