mrskim's Journal
been a while...
i was not focusing on weight loss this past year. Well, that's not entirely true. Bret and i entered a 1/2 marathon in Sept and spent most of 2011 training for it. I'm so excited to have completed it and may do it again next year. Unfortuneatly, i've also gained weight back - right back to where i started. Frustating. I'm kind of cleansing this week - trying to only eat fruits and veggies. Next Monday we'll see what the scale says.

checkin in...
been pretty sick the month of March...no excersizing and i miss it! I'm trying to gear back up to start again soon. I haven't gained any weight, but i've really increased my stress level...bret is having to look for work, alex is meeting with recruiters for the army tomorrow and austen get's married in Sept. Excersize would probably help relieve some of it, but i'm not ready yet.

broke another barrier
Yay! I made it into the 150's...i haven't seen those numbers for many years! I also completed the first round of p90x. I feel really great so i'm going to keep going for a second round. I'm considering the lean workouts instead of classic. I'll do yoga tomorrow - then take a break for 2 days and start my new round on Monday. I still have my birthday goal im mind (145 lbs. by Mar.24th). That's definately do-able!

Motivator
Glad you have almost made it through. I have tried to get my wife on board but she is happy just running and the occasional swim. I have heard from a few people that it was not until after the half way mark that they really felt things were changing. I am a long way off but plan on getting there. Good luck with the next round. slowed down
Not sure what happened - but i slowed way down on my motivation. I think im "reving' back up, but i got into a slump for a few weeks. i know i haven't been sleeping well and that always seem to effect my motivation. Bret and I are trying to finish week 12 of p90x, but we got overbooked for a few days towards the end of the week - so legs and kempo are going to be monday and tuesday. Then we will officially be on our last week of it! It will feel very good to finish that goal. I'm trying to keep my b-day goal in mind...hopefully that will keep me going forward instead of stuck.
