I don't know what to say...

I don't know what to say anymore. I tried to keep a positive attitude as you can see from previous journal entries from years ago. I never stuck with it. I hit my highest weight ever at 420lbs and I am now down to 377lbs this morning. So good progress but very slow progress. At this rate I will still die from a heart attack or diabetes or some other weight related issue before I lose enough weight to prevent it. I believe I also developed an addiction to a weight loss drug. I don't feel the need to take it, but at the same time I do not feel good if I don' take it. I feel horrible if I don't take it. So I am stopping that routine as well. I paid for a pro account to become more scientific about myself and to collect as much data as I can. I am told that it can discourage people when they don't get results that they want, but I am hoping that it spikes my natural curiosity to change things up and try new things. Time will tell. Wish me luck and I am going to try and keep a good record of everything. Cheers.

    P90X

After doing the plyometrics and the chest and back, i was beat. The plyometrics was a great cardio workout but it killed my ankles and knees. I just have too much weight to bounce around like that so I only could do half of the routine but that was still 500 calories burned. My arms and chest were so sore for about 3 days after all of those push ups so I did not do any more of the routines last week. But I started this week and I think I did pretty good today. I was supposed to do the ab ripper x but I tried and I just have too much weight in the front to balance myself and actually do a crunch or anything else. My middle is going to have to wait until I lose some weight so it can actually be flexed when working out. But I am back at it again this week. I want to do this really bad...I just got to get motivated to do it every day. Thats the hard part.

    P90X

I started the P90X routine today. I started off with Chest and Back and tomorrow I will do Plyometrics. I felt like I needed a program in order to get anything accomplished and I liked the looks of this one. It is a bit extreme for me now, but I will get through it. I liked this program because I am not able to do much and it gives me a challenge to push and do all these push ups and eventually actual pull ups instead of band imitations.

    Body Fat Percentage

I bought an electric body fat percentage measuring device. I guess it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be when I measured my body fat. 44.4% is way to much but it was less than I expected. Now I can monitor my body fat more so than my weight to see if I am losing fat even if I gain weight.

About Me

Well I used to be real fit and active in high school but once college started I really let it go. I let it go so bad that I put on 200lbs since. So now I have finally come to my senses and want to become competitive in sports again and become fit so I can do more outdoors type of things. I enjoy hiking and backpacking which I could not do right now. I like to ski and bike which I also can't do right now or at least for very long. So its time to shape up and stop messing around. The biggest problem I run into is eating too much at night and losing interest in working out. I hope that joining this site will help me with that.
