Update
I've figured out what works best for me at this point in my life. What I do is just one or two sets of high reps, medium weight on two jointed lifts. Monday I'll do Bench and maybe overhead tricep extensions. Wednesday I'll do chinups and crunches. Friday I usually do squats and lunges. The trick is... I run 2-3 laps around the track in between each and every set. It ends up being about 2 miles after all is said and done and it keeps my heart rate elevated for the entire 1 hour workout. I can definitely see results.

Tipping Point
I'm getting fat and weak and I need to get back in shape and stay that way. I'm looking for consistency in power lifting and cardio both 3-5 times per week.
