Ready for a Marathon
Well after losing 110 this year and running over 1,000 miles since January 1, 2010, I am ready for my first full marathon. About one month ago I ran a half marathon in 1 hour and 55 minutes. I am hoping to run the 26.2 miles on November 14, 2010 in about 4 hours! Dailyburn.com has been a big part of my success story and I am looking forward to this site helping me to keep my weight off over the next few years! Of course I will not stop running!

Long Process
It seems like it has been a long process, but the weight has come off in about 1/2 the planned time. I had planned to lose 100 lbs in a year and before the 6 months time, I have lost most of the weight. I have ran 279 miles this year, plus many hours on my eliptical training and time spent (hours) on my bowflex. I feel like a new man, my blood pressure is great (off the medicine), my cholesterol is normal, my sugar problems are gone, no more acid reflux issues and I love the way that I turn heads when people see me for the first time in a few months! I feel about 15 years younger and have more engery then I have had in many years! I started out training for 5Ks, now running 10Ks and was in training for a half marathon. I feel so good that I have increased my goal and now training for the full marathon which will happen November 14, 2010. My family, friends and church has been so supportive of this life changing experience. A major part of my success has been the prayers voiced to God for a fitter and healthier me!
