Finish Line 5K - Hello! I just competed in my first 5K and it was amazing! I ran in the Finish Line 500 5K which was held in Indianapolis just an hour after the Mini. I was really nervous leading up to it, but all of the stuff that I'd read about race day was right....my time was faster than it usually was (even on my best practice days) and I beat my goal by almost a minute and a half. I am ready to go out and run more 5K's to work my way up to run the mini next year. :)

    Pregnancy

ugh. I have five more weeks to go and boy am I ready! I want to get my body back and go running again. This pregnancy has really kicked my butt and I've been so sick that I've hardly exercised AT ALL. Pretty pathetic, I know, but I do have intentions to get back to a routine once this little one is born.

    Life

I can honestly say that I had no intentions of leaving gyminee and forsaking all correspondences....but unfortunately, life hit harder than I ever would have imagined. We lost our home on June 7th when the huge floods rampaged through Indiana and we've been struggling to keep our sanity ever since. I then found out several months later that our family would be expanding (Yes, I'm pregnant) and I have been trying to get used to the idea, but to be honest, it's quite difficult. I mean...I lost my house....and have been dealing with the stress of that for 6 months...and it's been one heck of a ride. I continue to trust my Father for guidance and protection. He's never let me down. I have ceased almost all physical activity, which is stupid, but with the stress of my life and having to move and deal with issues surrounding the house, I honestly didn't think I had time for it. So...here I am....wanting to get back in the swing of things yet understanding that it will be quite different because I am 'with child.' Thanks.

    I am back.

Here I am...hopefully this time for good and on a more consistent basis. Lots of stuff going on....too much to talk about on here to complete strangers...but I swear since I turned 30 it is as if my body has decided that things are just going to go wrong...VERY wrong. I found out that I might have exercise-induced arrhythmia and I have been in and out of the doctor's office in the past week and have an appointment with a cardiologist this Friday so I am very limited on the type of exercise I can do....but I am not going to stop until they tell me I can't. :) Praise God I am still breathing, right?

    Hoping...

I was hoping to be further along in this...but things have been crazy. I have had two friends to into premature labor in the past 2.5 weeks (one was 4.5 weeks early, the other 17) and it has been one heck of a roller coaster ride! God has revealed so much to me in the past couple of weeks through these experiences and as I face big decisions ahead. As the anxiety creeps in and the temptation to doubt tries to overtake me, I keep praying, "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done in my life....no matter what that means..." :)
