    4 Workouts this week!!

    Well I was only able to get 4 workout's in this week. The reason, recovery. Last Tuesday in Karate we had, what I call, a rough day. Rough day usually include lots and lots of repetition. This repetition, especially those that work my shoulders hard will cause some discomfort and pain, due to a snowboarding injury I had sustained about 12 - 13 years ago. Back in September when I started Karate, the pain was much worse, however now with the weight training and being more active the pain has been reduced, except on days where I have worked the muscles and joints hard with out proper rest. So I decided to take my birthday weekend off. Yesterday I did around 60-70 push-ups though-out the day at work and will do the same today. So it wasn't all lost.

    New Year!!

    Well so far it has been a month since I have increased the number of days I work out from 2 days of Karate to 2 days of Karate plus 3 days of weight training. The family has also started to eat healthier. The eating healthier part was easier then I thought it was going too, and a lot of it has been mainly cutting my portions down, eating less processed foods, and going out to eat a ton less. Now that we are 2 weeks into February it has gotten a bit easier, however I now find myself not recording what I eat so anally anymore. Good news is that I am not cheating either. I am sticking to it and will continue to.
