Too Good To Be True
I started drinking Green Tea, sweetened with Splenda. I have been playing basketball twice a week for years. Something strange happened recently. I noticed pronounced shortness of breath and a significant reduction in my endurance during games. So I started thinking what I changed over the last several days. I have been doing a sports camp since the beginning of summer and our tradition is to start the day with basketball. So I would think my conditioning has improved by virtue of this increased activity. But why the fatigue? Did I start a new exercise regime that was too much too soon? Was I not getting enough sleep? Did I change my nutrition? The only thing I could point to was the tea. So I did a search to see if anyone else experienced the same phenomenon. Not only did I find that others experienced the same thing, but that some were experiencing many more symptoms. So I will back off the tea and see what happens.

Low Back
I decided not to use the typical pain relievers, but instead stretched "into the pain." The typical hamstring stretches did not bother me as much but the one that killed was when I put my right leg over my left. When I first would try this the pain was intense and I could barely touch my toes which is easy when my back is not injured. After a couple of attempts I could do it with less pain. I did wear one of those Therma Care products while playing basketball and I felt pretty good. I continued to play basketball 2x/week and to play softball with little interference. Experience some stiffness in the am and after sitting at computer.

Feels better. Naproxen and heating pad and some stretching. Downward dog and leg extensions with band.
