    Day 3

Day 3 of cardio and I really didn't feel able to do it today. I went to the gym, but was exerting at a level 10 when my heart rate was only 150. Really struggled. As a result, I did a reduced second exercise; only doing 10mins, not 20. I did manage to do some core exercises as well however (although they are not available on Dailyburn). I have decided, therefore, to do a bit of a workout split. I think 100% cardio is going to be too much, so I will do 3 cardio workouts per week and 2 weights workouts. Not quite decided which weight workout I will be doing. May browse through Dailyburn for some ideas. I've also decided to stop recording all of my food on here. I have no intention in filling out minute details of food. I am certain, for instance, that I have taken more protein in today, but it is not accurate on the net. Seems a bit pointless. I will endeavour to listen to my body more and control my hungerpangs while sticking to the 12 wonder foods as much as possible.

    Day 2

So the plan is to do a LOT of cardio and core exercises over the next 6 wks. I hope to do 5 days a week with the basic routine running like this. Every workout will consist of two cardio machines. I will decide which machines on the day depending on what I feel like doing. I will work on individual machine goals each time, for instance, increasing the speed of the treadmill for longer periods each time etc. The first machine will consist of 25 mins and the second will be 20mins. With the 5 mins cooldown, this will mean 50mins of quality cardio each day. After this, I will do some core work each day. Hopefully, I will see results. Last year, I was very calorie restrictive (sometimes less than 1500 cals) per day in a vain effort to lose weight. I managed 7lbs in the end. I hope to shatter that this time. I'm eating more and eating lots more super foods. One massive hurdle will be the vacation. Hopefully, I will have supportive family members who will not glut themselves too much. Workout 2 is this evening. I'm thinking bike and stepper.

    A new Summer break begins

This is day one of the summer break 2011, a time when I usually focus on getting into shape. I've been trying to get down to 200lbs for years and have not succeeded...yet. I find that my job makes things difficult which is why this time of year is perfect for getting in shape. I also find that eating away from home to be very difficult. I really struggle to say no to goodies people put on as little treats. Like an addict, however, I can never stop at just one. Vacationing should be difficult (leaving in 2 wks) and I must make sure that I plan well so that I can avoid undoing all the good work I will be starting today.

    Thanks

for becoming my motivator Wedzir. You are correct, my goal is primarily weight loss. I used to weigh nearly 260lbs before dropping to 209lbs. After 3 years of marriage and a full time job, I went back up to 237lbs. Managed to get rid of some of that, but I always find it hard. After reading some of your profile and posts, it's pretty obvious that you know what you are talking about when it comes to health. Thanks for offering your help; I'm sure I'll be asking for it soon enough.
