    I'm back but...

I'm not starting month 3 till my gym buddy gets back. I know this throws the whole challenge out of whack, but I gotta finish it at least. I think if I get into more for the next time it rolls around, I'm going to have to follow it to a "T" diet and all. The Bowflex was interesting. I could see how it works well, but I found that the cables rubbed your wrists on a lot of the exercises and that the weight/tension didn't come from the right direction all the time, either. Also, I'm starting week 3 of the hundred push up challenge over again due to forgetting the last day. Now it's time to sweat out a vacation's worth of good times, good food, and good drink from my system. Detoxing sux...

    Kootenay Workin'

I went for a run surrounded by mountains yesterday. Let me tell you: beautiful. Nothing to take your mind off the exertion using thinner air than scenery and wildlife. Saved a cute little brown mouse from being devoured by a kitty when I just happened upon it along the way. Tested for the third week of the hundred pushup challenge yesterday. I was a tad disappointed as my first test a little over two weeks ago got me up to 32, but yesterday I only got up to 35 on my test. Thought I'd be able to do more, but I was a little achy. Ha! Then I helped my dad build a retaining wall moving and stacking 73lb blocks...About 125 of them. Didn't need to workout yesterday. Now it's on to try that Bowflex...

    Mom's cooking...

I'm really looking forward to running in the fresh air amidst the beautiful scenery, trying out a Bowflex (never have before) and running the quad up and down the mountain. Mom's cooking is superb. When dad was home from his 3 week stint on the oil rigs, mom cooked gormet. When he was gone, we live off a steady diet of pizza, chips and pop, ha ha. Memories...

    Break

I envy you. Running in the rockies, trying out a Bowflex. As for Mama's cooking... My mother is the only woman in the world that can burn water & make it stick to the pot, so I'll have to take your word on your mom's cooking.

    Forced break, ha ha...

I'll be finishing the last 3 days of the RHC Month 2 over the next three days, but then I'm forced to take a 1 week break. Taking the kiddies to visit the grandparents in the Kootenays for a week before heading back home. The bad news is no access to a gym and mom's home cooking, which is sooooo gooooooood, may do me in. The good news is that I get to run in the Rockies and my folks own a Bowflex that I get to try out for a week. We'll see what happens, eh?
