Well a bit sore after doing all those squats yesterday. Didn't up my weights today but did an extra set of each exercise. Am really starting to see the definition in my arms now.

Slow but steady progress is the key to most things. You've got some good, achievable goals --> just try not to rush things. At the same time, make sure you don't falter! I guess that's the advantage of a having a personal trainer. I'm pretty lucky as I tend to work out with one or two others regularly and we track progress, spot each other, push each other "just that bit more" when the time is right, etc. I had a laugh when reading your comments about the barbell. I remember the first time I "tried" to pick up the Olympic 20kg bar. And then lifting it - arms all over the place! As you read in my journal - the occasional "accident" still happens like the chest-seeking dumbbell. Alas my "spotters" were talking at the time and failed to notice my arm give way. Such is life! By the way, 8000kgs (17600lbs) total in a session is pretty awesome and impressive!

    Extra Sets

Think I'm going to add an extra set to each of my exercises tomorrow. I feel I can go that extra mile, whether I'll feel that in the morning is another matter! Also hoping to up some of my weights again tomorrow... lets see... Am getting the nutrition nailed now so hopefully should see some pounds coming off - or at least some body fat.

About Me

Well I'm a computer geek from the UK, between degrees and between jobs at the moment! I have a BSc (Hons) in Games Computing (Software Development). I practice martial arts and love weight lifting. I started putting a lot of weight on in my early twenties even though I was quite active, It's taken doctors 10 years to find out there is a problem! I love weight lifting, I took it up as a hobby a while ago and I love how powerful and strong it makes me feel. It makes me feel good about my body for the first time. I also love Martial Arts having studied various types of Martial Art most recently being on my University Shito-Ryu Karate squad.
