Good website
I wanted to add shoveling the snow to my exercise log and in the process I found this website that calculates calories burned/activity: http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc So I was able to add shoveling to my exercises with an estimate on calories burned based on my current weight.

spinning
you can just enter the time (the total ride not including the cooldown was just under 50 minutes, so i rounded it off to 50 minutes) and approximate your effort on the slider. the mileage is optional, and i usually estimate it based on a 15-MPH road bike pace rather than what the spinner counter says. i forgot to mention during the ride, but i like to keep an eye on the "watts" (it's a measure of your power output, and is a good indicator of how hard you're working) during the ride then estimate what my averate watts were and enter it along with my workout. As a reference, Gyminee says my spin today was a little over 700 calories.
