Success!
Finished the Liz Hurley Ribbon Run this weekend. 3.22 miles in 35:18. ~11 min/mi (5.5 mph). The hills at the end were ROUGH!

Getting there...
Ran 2.95 mi today in 36 min. Felt good at the end of the run, too. I now feel fairly confident I can do the upcoming 5k. My time won't be competitive, but that's okay.

Blisters
Ran 2.6 today, which is cool. What's not cool is getting blisters on the side of my foot. I already have had some problems with my toes getting irritated, so I just put band-aids on them before each run. But now it's on the side of the foot. Not sure how to deal with it.

Bye bye C25k
For the first time, I ran without the nice lady from the Couch-to-5k app telling me when to walk, when to run, and when to turn around. Now I have mapped out multiple 2+ mile routes in my neighborhood, which I plan to use to gradually push my distance up to 3+ miles. Now I'm using RunKeeper to track my route, measuring the distance ran, avg speed, and speed-over-time graphs. It works pretty well, but I wasn't ready for it until now. For the beginning runner, C25k is a great program, and the app implements it nicely. Some time soon I have to do a run with no headphones in since that is the rule for the upcoming race. I'm not looking forward to that, I have to say.
