About Me
I am realizing that I was dead inside my 342 pound body. Now that my wife and I have made a decision to eat right and be healthy and active I have energy to do things that I didn't even consider when I was a teenager. I am going to create a bucket list this year and attack the items on it with the same "All In" attitude that has helped me lose over 100 pounds this year. 1. Lead climb a multipitch route 2. Run a half marathon in the Fall 2010 3. Go surfing again this Summer 4. Go skydiving 5. Hike to a peak of a mountain 6. Snowboard and Ski this season 7. Whitewater Rafting

How Goes the Battle?
Have you made any progress getting out of your rut? I would recommend having a good hard goal setting session - and don't limit it to just fitness/health but overall life. Set some priorities, and see where things fall. That might help you figure out what is going on. I had a similar issue earlier this year and doing this helped me get back on track. Sometimes you just need to take a mental break and take stock of the situation in a calm and rational way.

Stuck in a rut
It seems like my eating is getting worse and my gains through my strength training have stalled. I have lost motivation lately and don't really know what is going wrong. I think it is an outside influence in my life that is screwing the rest of this up. I am not sure how to get back on track, it is weird the last year I had a clear goal and worked my ass off to get to it. I still have goals but they just don't seem so important anymore.

Today I reset my weights for lifting and will build back up. Squat: 205 Bench: 155 Deadlift: 205 Shoulder Press: 95 By the end of next week I will be close to where I was last Monday and hopefully can push right through the last plateau. Onward and upward.

Feeling weak today - had a bad workout - moving fo
Just making a note that on 5/5 Wednesday I had a crappy workout. I missed lifts in Bench Press and Shoulder Press. I have been doing well until now, I blame the Indian food I had for dinner (really it was the ice cream for dessert), and the lack of sleep (only 6 hours). I will reset for Friday and overcome. Also I have the Revlon 5K race Saturday @ LA Coliseum that should be fun.

Ran a 5K race today with my wife
My wife completed her first race today, we ran together and she finished a 5K in 33:00. Not bad for a first race, had to motivate her a bit but it made me proud that we have both come so far in a year.
