    Gonna check it out

What happened to the half marathon? You seem to be doing well. I am all over the place with my commitment levels. Just read an interesting article about cheat days (oh how i loved cheat days) It said to deplete your carbs the day before and to do a hard work out tha is glycogen depleting (google is our friend) - have your cheat day - and to go for a major calorie deficit the day following with a lactic acid based workout - both anaerobic and aerobic. ( I had to google it and I am still not exactly sure what the workout will look like on Sunday. Gonna try this weekend and see what happens!!

    Nope...

Not ready to give up tracking my food yet. I still will follow Geneen Roth's principles of reading my hunger signals, but I need to track my food to hold myself accountable. Now that I am no longer doing the half marathon, I'm starting to build a new workout routine. More to come.

    Interesting

My signals usually say something like "popcorn without butter is not even trying". Thanks for the tip on the book - I'll check it out.

    I don't know...

Okay, so I'm not so sure about this. I'm paying a lot of attention to my hunger signals but somehow the signals last night said ..."Eat three slices of homemade pizza". So, this morning, out of curiousity (and possibly guilt), I had to step on the scale. No damage done! So, I'll continue to take this 'gentle' approach and see where it leads. Patience.

    Read Geneen Roth

She's an 'anti-diet' and causes the reader to examine their relationship with food. I'm experimenting... no tracking, no weighing for a week. Just observing and (hopefully) making some good choices. In the meantime, I'll still be here posting my workouts and cheering you on!
