I wanted to take a second to tell you that you are doing an amazing job keeping fit and not falling into the typical,"I'm skinny, I don't need to workout" mold. It is important for everyone, no matter their size, to workout and eat healthy. You have probably been told this, but the last ten pounds are the hardest to lose. Swithching up your workout routine and/or your food intake can shock the body a little which can sometimes send it into fat burning mode. Another idea could be to hire a personal trainer, they can be an excellent tool in helping you reach your goals. Keep your head up and keep truckin, you will get there!

    Re: Daily Burn Reflection

Now that you know that Daily Burn and sites like this exist, you can always come back to it as a resource - even if you don't end up inputting data. Remember to avoid using 'hectic schedule' as an excuse not to exercise - every little thing you do is progress. Good luck in your future fitness endeavors! :)

    Daily Burn Reflection

I really enjoyed using this website this semester, I guess I wish I had more time to update everything and track more of my progress. That is one con to this website is that it is very time consuming, someone could spend several hours on here creating goals and entering workout and nutrition information. This website is great, however, for accountability, many people only have themselves to be accountable to and this website is a great tool for that. I also really enjoyed looking through all of the recipes that have been posted by other users, I have not seen this broad of a recipe list on any other website I have come across. Unfortunately I didn't meet any of my S.M.A.R.T Goals since this class started, I have a very hectic schedule for right now and I am unable to focus a lot of my energy on my health which I know is not a good thing but it is just what I have to do for now. It's a work in progress, I know I'll get there!

    Re: Motivation

I love the 'pom-pom' story! I think it's great that your daughter is your incentive to keep you going!! Last week was a great week (weather-wise) for swimming - glad you were able to get your workout in! woot-woot, indeed!! :)

    Motivation

I motivated DesertMama and wallock4 this week. They are both doing an amazing job reaching goals and staying motivated. I stay motivated by remembering why I NEED to lose weight and what I could lose if I don't. I just remind myself that my daughter and our future is way more important than eating crappy food and choosing tv over working out. So many people die everyday from things out of our control and leading a healthy lifestyle is something I can control and there should be no excuses. I chose my outdoor workout because I was finally able to swim last week, woo hoo!!!! My daughter was actually a huge motivator during this workout, she got her little pom pom's out and she was my little cheerleader the whole time and I didn't even ask her to :-) She seems to know the importance of what I am doing and that definitely reinforces everything that I am working towards.

    RE: free forum

First of all, congrats on the weight-loss you've achieved so far!!! It is amazing how quickly your body adapts/responds to healthier changes - good food, increased physical activity. As far as your comments your 'past' slowly coming out... well, I think any time you start making changes for the better, the emotional and physical 'toxins' are released so your body can continue to evolve and grow stronger. Sometimes these experienced are faced with having to deal with certain issues head on - issues that perhaps may have been contributing factors to some of those not-so healthy behaviors or thoughts. It's really hard to say why this happens - but think of it like a furnished room - when you want to change the furniture, there will be dust. LOL :)
