About Me
I am currently in and teaching Kenpo Karate, I like staying in touch with people from High School, watching tv and spending time with my wife and kids. Interests: I love spending time with my wife and kids. I have two, a son that just turned 15 and a daughter that is 4 1/2. Aside from that, my other interests are the Martial Arts, weightlifting, astronomy, genealogy, NASA, downhill skiing, space and the search for ET's, rollerblading. Some of my favorite websites I like to visit and check are Steelers.com, MensHealth.com and the Nackord Kenpo Karate System website. Mr. Nackord has an excellent site with a lot of helpful things for anyone who has taken Kenpo before. Favorite Music: My favorite music is from the 80's. Duh, that's when I grew up. It will always be my favorite. I love the 80's metal. I like country a lot now too and some of the new rock but don't have a favorite current band. I like the old Christian Rock too like Stryper &; Y&; T. I like some oldies too. Jazz is good to listen to also, especially when I want to calm down and relax. I guess I like just about everything except Rap. Once in a while a good rap song will come along but I won't just tune in a rap station to listen for very long. Favorite TV Shows: I love all of the new crime and law shows. Among my favorites are: CSI, CSI Miami, Close to Home, Law and Order SVU. My wife and I like the Dukes of Hazzard too and always watch it. I used to love The Incredible Hulk too. I grew up watching all kinds of sitcoms from Buck Rogers in the 25th Century to Flying High and Eight is Enough. I must confess here that I was an animation geek growing up and still love them today. I love watching Robotech and Star Blazers both for the space and science stuff as well as the fighting and the whole make believe worlds. We also watch some sitcoms and my favorites are Two and a Half Men, How I met your Mother and the King of Queens. My favorite new suspense show is Invasion and we also watch Medium, Veronica Mars and Surface. I just absolutely fell in love with The Shield but have gotten away from that one the last two seasons. Oh my God, I was reading my profile and don't know how I missed this. A couple of my favorite shows are on Sunday Nights on ABC. My wife and I watch Desperate Housewives (OK, I started watching it for Eva Longoria) and it's a really good show. Also, we watch Gray's Anatomy. It just finished its second season and we are just hooked. We can't wait until September to see what happens. Some of my favorite recently discontinued shows are Surface, Once and Again, Time of My Life and Invasion. Favorite Movies: Wow, this could be a long one. I like lots of movies from science fiction to action to comedy and adventure. Some that come to mind are: Independence Day, Top Gun, Big Mamma's House, Boat Trip, StarMan, All of the Disney and Pixar movies, Ice Age, Platoon, Forest Gump, Same Time Next Year and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. That should give you some idea. There are plenty more such as Terminator I, II & III, Rambo I-III, Rocky I-V, Superman, Spiderman, Grumpy Old Men, Picture Perfect, Erin Brockovich, Pretty Woman... I love to watch "based on true" stories too like October Sky, Something for Joey and Brian's Song I watch horror too but they just seem so dumb now. Favorite Books: There are a lot of books that I like. Most of them are science fiction though. I love the Robotech series and have read them through 3 times. Battlefield Earth was also excellent but could have been broken up into 3 books if you ask me. For real life suspense, On Wings of Eagles is an Excellent book. I also like books on sports legends. I have read the Ty Cobb Story, the Story of Jim Thorpe, Brian's Song, I Am Third, When all the Laughter Died in Sorrow and A Short Season. That just names a few. For true stories, "On Wings of Eagles" is an excellent book on Ross Perot and the 1979 Iran Hostage Crisis. Other than that, I mostly read e-mails from newsletters I get. I get them from Astronomy Magazine, Space.com, Men's Health and a daily Calvin and Hobbes comic. Favorite Quotations: Too many to list but here are a few: If your ship doesn't come in, swim out to it. You'll accomplish more if you start now.

Thanks
Thanks for the encouragement! I'm fairly set on improving my benching, squatting and deadlifting. The bench press and the squat had been stagnating a bit, so i'm determined to improve those before I get "too old"! Keep up your workouts - you're looking in excellent shape!
