    It begins...

Well, I have just taken up the 'Fat Burning Furnace' and 'Cheat Yourself Thin' diet and exercise programs. This is me, I've had enough of holding on to my old clothes HOPING to fit back into them. I dropped so many good habits when I went to university. Good eating was the first to go because I never had time, and I stopped hiking with my dad and walking stopped... and after my bike was stolen, that stopped. All the fun things that kept me in shape basically stopped. Now, I'm in an office job and I can't be bothered to do most things I probably should. I loved my bike, but I never bought another one, and I never picked up most things I used to do. That and my ex-boyfriend's love of snacking rubbed off on me. Unfortunately, I don't have his former metabolism. He could eat whatever he wanted and stay skinny as a rake, where as it all piles on me. Booooo!!! (His metabolism is changing, so the joke's on him.) I have no excuses. I don't have low self esteem... I just like to eat. Always have, although I used to eat healthier. I think I'm pretty, and even think of myself as a thinner person when I picture myself, so much so that I'm always unpleasantly surprised to see that I'm fat in pictures. I have a positive body image. There are no excuses as to why my weight has so careened out of proportion, and I had surrendered to the fact that I was just going to be this way, or that it would take care of itself like it used to. Well, no more! I want the old me back! I shall reclaim my body. I will lose the weight I don't need, and I will be able to wear all the nice things I loved to wear before. STARTING WITH SHORT SKIRTS!! I used to quite like my legs, muscular and unfeminine as they were from hiking and biking, and I love to wear short skirts and knee high boots. Since I put on weight, I haven't work a skirt that came above the knee. And I did so enjoy those. I will lose 24lb before 01/04/2011. It's good to set a few attainable goals so that you feel you're making progress. Not my ideal weight, but a good start! And after that, I will set a new goal to reach, My end goal, however, will not be my ideal weight, but my ideal dress size. After all, muscle weighs more than fat, and even when I was thinner I was heavy for my height. I'll be focusing my workouts on 100% intensity strength training, dancing and (with a little help from mu friends) walking and hiking again! ^^ THE BATTLE FOR MY BODY BEGINS NOW!!!!

About Me

I am an overweight Scottish girl who's sick of telling herself she can't lose weight. I'm doing it. And I will reach my first target by 01/05/11. If a work out isn't fun, it isn't worth it... which is why I generally do exercise videos with friends (because it's hilarious), or game related exercise, or being a big kid and playing in the park!! Dancing is good too!! I never run. Ever... unless I'm going to be really late. ^^; Recently I've been doing 100% intensity strength training. Fun!
