    Some Thoughts

I'd agree with Matilda..I have tried the Carb Diet and watching fat grams all with limited success. This time around I decided (after much reading) I'd monitor caloric intake, protein and burn. I am 6'4'' and started at 260, now at 238 (been there for 2 weeks-->bummer). I workout 7 days a week about 75 minutes, eliptical, core and weights. I think I have the intake pretty well managed (if not exact counts, pretty close) but the burn piece I need to figure out a good daily average. My process is that I am assuming I am burning 4000 per day and taking in 1500, creating a deficit of 2500. So every 3 days I should mathematically drop 2 lbs. So far so good. I guess my suggestion is really watch the intake and if you are still at 3200 (see your P90X post) it might be a bit steep. My opinion of course. BTW I am doing P90X and seem to have good energy @ the 1500 calories range. good luck and keep the faith!

    Bummed

I feel your pain. Mind your calorie intake. By that I mean weigh and measure everything you put in your mouth! Yes, I'm very aware of what a P.I.T.A. that is. You've got to find that proper balance. It's not easy. I always admire the lone Male that shows up for yoga! It takes a real man to do that!

    Bummed out...

First, I'm eating healthier than I've ever eaten in my life. I have been sticking to working out Mon - Fri. Have been more conscious of my fitness efforts for over 5 months now and I'm still at the weight that I started out at. To make matters worse, I thought I weighed 225 lbs. I can't believe I've been misreading the scale - I'm actually weighing in at 230 lbs. That dark bold line on the scale is not a "5" lb increment... it's a "10" lb increment. What a dagger to the heart. Frustrated. Bummed. :-(

    Started P90X

Started P90X. On day 4. Found out I need to be eating around 3200 cals per day. Good thing P90X has nutrition plans to help me figure out how to eat that much. Off to Yoga now. (Yoga... sounds so "womanly" sorry women, I know you're strong, but...) :-)

    90 Day Challenge - Day 3

On day 3 now of the 90 Day Fitness Challenge. I chose P90X as my workout/nutrition routine of choice for the next 90 days. Did the Plyometrics for first time yesterday. Feeling it today. Feels good. :-)
