EpiLasik Surgery
Will be going through eye laser surgery, EpiLasik, on the 24 of May and getting new vision. Hopefully all will go well and will be able to see without my glasses from then on. I've been wearing them since I was 6 or so and have a -10.75 in one eye and -11.25 in the other eye. Will be forced to not lift more then 10lbs for 30 days after the surgery so won't be visiting the gym at all for that month and will be extatic to return when I'm allowed by my doctors. I will most likely loose weight in that month since I won't be exercising and my appetite for food will be close to zero, but the bad news is the weight I will loose will be from my muscle mass...not happy bout that, so lets eat lean for no fat gain.

Well protein arrives TODAY
Well, today, on my seventh day into Proteinless week at the gym, I can say I definatley felt I had to reduce overall intensity (as to weight load) on strength training or I would fatigue myself before finishing my exercises. Recovery was lame and slow. Post workout, even after my breakfast (I workout early morning and eat my breakfast after returning from gym; pre workout i eat a banana.), I would feel weak and gain very little recovery throughout the day. Only area I felt the protien was not an issue was during my cardio kickboxing class. I went the whole hour, had my heartrate at a good pace and sweat like crazy; even pulled 50 consecutive pushups like nothing right before ab workout at the end of the class. After the class I did down a fully loaded plate of chicken salad with lettuce, cucumber, pineapple, apple, corn, chicken (obviously) and croutons; so I did get that source of protien and carbs into my system, but only after the workout, not during nor before. Well, overall, Protein is a must and can't wait to start drinking my shakes again.

Decided to go the week without Protien supplements
Since I ran out of protien, I decided to do this week without the protein supplement. So far I have felt strong either way, but have been hitting less weights on strenght workouts, and did feel the post workout weakness feeling on monday. I guess this is due to not feeding the body its protein for quick recovery and may have caused some cortisol. I will begin using protein on monday and see how it will feel to re-add it to my daily diet.

Out of protein :(
Ran out and didn't buy :( Gotta go order some more Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein. Another $50 bucks for the sake of muscles. Till it arrives, tuna, chicken and eggs in every meal of the day. LOL.
