Just wanted to stop by and say keep up the good work. on 12-27 I will have my band for 1 year, it is still a struggle at times to chew my food and not eat things I know I cant eat. This is a lifetime process. If you have any questions or just want to chat about things shoot me a message.

5k, here I come!!
I'm back bitches!! I did 3 miles on the treadmill today, mixed about 1:2 jog:walk. I'm ready to start doing 5k's. I know I won't be able to jog the whole distance right out of the box, but I'm ready to move it forward. I'm over my illness and respiratory distress and ready to kick some ass. I went to a body sculpting class yesterday with my friend. I got my ass kicked, but in the best of ways. It's a free program available through grant funding at the county level. They also offer zumba, though right now, during conflicting days/times, but, we'll see what I can pull off. I'm ready for more weight to drop. The scale quit dropping a lb a day, but that's fine. I had alcohol Saturday night, and that halted the loss, but I know that it's temporary. I'm goin' down, and only in the best of ways. ;-) Let's rock this junk.

65 lbs gone
So far. 7 lbs this week. Hot Damn. And I've only been to the gym one time. I've only hit my caloric goals what, twice maybe? Yesterday I was erring on the side of caution since the dinner I ate was from a restaurant. You know what? I'm just not hungry that often. And when I do eat, golly, I'm only eating like.. 1/2 cup max of food. I can see "Onederland" from here...!!!

Band adjusted, scale dropping
I had 1 cc of saline added to my lapband on Friday, so now I'm at 7-8 cc's in a 12 cc capacity band. The scale is dropping. I'm at 232 now, that's 61 lbs gone in 2 years. My throat and band-area is sore from swelling of me being stubborn and not doing liquids for 2 days like they recommend. Serves me right. That aside, I'm just not hungry, and I can't eat much. My husband says "sorry" when he sees that I'm uncomfortable, but you know what, it's what I signed up for. It's my internal drill sergeant, checking in for duty. I hired the sergeant for a reason. And sergeant is doing a pretty good job. I'm finally feeling better after being sick for 2 weeks. Still being..cautious, but not taking any medication as a result, so that's improvement. I'm going to walk with my walking/jogging buddy. Who knows, maybe I'll even bust into jog mode. I'm on all prescription meds that I'm supposed to be, so my body should align into cooperative mode. Ready to be back to the gym, back to my groove, and looking forward to the scale continuing to drop. I'm quietly excited to see the results starting to show. Finally. I'm ready. I've been ready. I've been working hard, so it feels like.. a slow building..success. Instead of a failure. Strangely, it wasn't caused by exercise. Just diet, and I guess illness. That's fine, I'll take it however I can get it. I'm going to keep adding in the exercise, it's done wonders for other things, like my stamina, and the endorphines are lovely. if I can get the combo of working out, diet, health, and weight dropping? I'll be happy woman. My goal is to be healthy, and to extend my life. And that's exactly what I'm working on and doing.

Still sick
I'm still sick. It's been like a week and a half with this garbage. I think I've been to the gym once in the last three weeks. Not much I can do about it besides keep working on getting better. At least the scale is being decent. I'm getting back to keeping track again too. Thankfully, when I "slip", it's only for days, not weeks, not months, not years. Days. And when I don't get to the gym, it's because of a solid reason, not because I'm just not in the mood. I am looking forward to getting back into my groove, I feel very off. I went to my primary dr yesterday to follow up the tests that were run. More labwork forthcoming, and another appt in a month to follow up. She's probably going to put me on a very low dose Rx for the thyroid. Fine by me if it'll help. I go to see the surgeon on Friday. I'm going to have him do a fill for me.
