    I've been gone for awhile

But now I'm back. I put some of the weight I'd lost back on, but I'm now back on track and back in the 140s. Currently, my goal is to get to my ultimate goal weight, which is 115 (though I may change this once I hit the 120s as 115 may be too slim) by 1/1/13, my 30th birthday. Even if I only lose 1 lb a week I'll reach the goal in about 34 weeks, which will be a few weeks before the new year. Let's do this thing!

    I'm SO back on!

I've been being lax in my diet and exercise the past several months. I just got to a point where I was sick of the logging, dieting and extra planning I was putting into everything. Work got extra busy and it was the easiest thing to cut out. At the start, I was still eating healthy so I just fluctuated around 2lbs up or down right about 142 and I was happy maintaining for awhile. But sometime around my birthday I just went nuts. I would eat healthy for a little while, and then eat EVERYTHING in site and then eat healthy again. After a couple of months of that I was almost back to 150. Not cool. Yesterday I was at 147.2. I decided to really commit again. I'm logging what I eat, staying within the calorie goals and logging my weight each day again. Today it's 146. I'm determined to stick with it again. A lot of people make January resolutions. Apparently I make my biggest changes in March and April.

    Really back on track

I've been such a slacker and I was binging like crazy since a few weekends ago. It started with pasta and pizza while taking care of my grandparents one weekend and hasn't stopped. Lots of take-out lunches at work. Willingly taking almost an entire leftover pizza on a friday and eating all but a few slices that evening. I'm also on a juicing kick and I think I've overdone it, easily forgetting how many calories are in juice, even if I make it myself. It's one thing if I'm replacing a meal with juice, but a whole other if I'm drinking it in addition to a meal. Not cool. So, I'm back to packing healthy lunches, eating healthy breakfasts and dinners, healthy snacks, and I only have 1 juice in the morning instead of coffee/tea. I can have another juice if it's replacing dinner or one of the snacks. I'm also going to exercise at least 4 days a week, starting today. I have no grocery shopping or laundry to do and I have my lunch for tomorrow made already, so I definitely have the time. No excuses!

    Celebrating!

I'm going way out of my calorie goals today. However, I'm not letting myself feel guilty about it as I'm celebrating a promotion today. I can get back to reasonable nutrition tomorrow. Today I'm enjoying myself!

    Sweets

I haven't been that great with my food lately, particularly with carbs. I'm being forced to work overtime this weekend and I guess the president thought it would make me and the others feel better if he brought in munchkins. I know I shouldn't have had more than a couple if I was going to eat them at all. I ate SO many. So I definitely need to workout when I get home tonight AND I need to be really on track tomorrow (when I, blissfully, won't be working).

About Me

Having successfully lost weight before, I know I can do it, but college and office life quickly allowed the pounds to come back on. It certainly didn't help that past weight loss was done with intense calorie restriction and intense workouts. I'm trying to do things in a more healthy way this time around.
