    Title...

I'm feeling quite a bit better today. I'm not nearly as tired, though I didn't give in to having a cup of coffee when I arrived at work. I still think I could do with a bit of a nap, but at least I'm not walking around like a zombie. I definitely don't think I'll do this lean cuisine thing very often though. I prefer more substantial dinners than that, but it'll be okay for the rest of the week. The only thing I need to figure out is how to make the meatloaf muffins for next week. Usually I buy plain ground turkey and season it myself. It was on sale this week so I bought it early, but they were out of everything but the italian seasoned. So I feel like I'll need to alter it slightly. I'll still use the onion and celery to add both a veggie component and moisture, probably still add the garlic, since I love it, but I feel like some of the seasonings, like cumin and thyme, would be weird. I'm definitely leaving out the salt as there's already significantly more sodium in the two lbs than I add with the recipe I usually use. Like, the equivalent of an extra teaspoon. I think I'll still add some pepper and the chipotle pepper spice, but I'll probably leave out the dry mustard. At least it will be a quicker recipe! Maybe I'll add some parsley too. I wish I knew specifically what italian seasonings Shady Brook Farms used. Spices and "Spice Extractives" is way too vague. I should have just gone back to the store another day this week to get the unseasoned or grabbed a raincheck at the front desk. My health is more important than the annoyance of spending more time in the supermarket. Anyway, you live you learn. It really is only another teaspoon of salt spread out over 6 servings. It's only an addition of an extra 300 mg of sodium per serving. If the italian seasoned ground turkey, plus garlic, chipotle pepper and parsley is a really good combination I might switch to it entirely. I really don't eat a lot of sodium when I'm making my own food so if that's tastier I don't think I need to worry about the extra sodium in the revised dish. Also, I want to try out making personal pizzas on Flat Outs a couple of weekends from now. The flat outs are really healthy for the crust and will probably crisp up to be a perfect thin crust in the oven. Low sodium tomato sauce, low fat mozzarella, tons of veggies, and then probably turkey pepperoni or turkey sausage. I bet it will be awesome and taste decadent even when it isn't. I'll still probably need to plan for it though as I will probably load up on the cheese. ;-) I really need to sign up for a Pro account on this site so I can plan these things more. Next month?

    Starving

I feel like I could eat an entire loaf of bread right now. And it's weird, because my stomach isn't grumbling. It just feels really empty. I might have to eat oatmeal for breakfast tomorrow. It seems more filling than the GoLean. Or maybe this is a reaction to last night's dinner? Baked chicken breasts and veggies or my meatloaf muffins with veggies are SO much more filling than any lean cuisine. It certainly doesn't help that you get a lot more food. I'll definitely be cooking my dinners next week. I look at the serving from one of the lean cuisine market creations things and want to eat 2 of them at a sitting. It's terrible.

    Title...

I feel like such crap all of a sudden. It might just be that I'm drinking green tea instead of coffee. It's surprising to me, since I think I got enough sleep last night. But all I want to do is take a nap. This is unfortunate since I'm at work.

    Back and forth

I got down to 152.8, then bounced back up to 153.4 by the next day. Now I'm at 153.2. So the overall trend is still down, but it's irritating. It's down, but a much flatter trend than it had been a few weeks ago. I don't want to be hitting plateaus of any sort this early. I probably should't be too concerned. Last Monday I weighed 154.1. That's a 0.9 lb loss from last week. I should be happy with about a pound a week loss, but I liked the 1.3 lb number more! Plus, prior to my period I'd gotten down to 153.2 on the 3rd. If it weren't for the week I think I'd be in the 151s or 150s by now. I mean, what the hell? I pay way too much attention to the progress chart. I always see an uptick on the weekends. It's entirely consistent. With few exceptions, almost every uptick is on a Monday in my progress graph. I just need to stick with it. And i either need to get more active no the weekends, drink more water, or ingest less sodium. I generally meet my calorie goals every weekend so there must be something else that I'm doing wrong. I'm looking forward to the 140s....just a few more weeks if I stay on track!

    WTF

How am I 153.4 today? I was only 152.8 yesterday! Grr... I met my calorie goal, didn't eat too many carbs.....I mean, what the hell? And I ran faster on the elliptical for my usual 30 minutes than I ever have. Yeah, otherwise it was a lazy day, but this makes little sense to me.

About Me

Having successfully lost weight before, I know I can do it, but college and office life quickly allowed the pounds to come back on. It certainly didn't help that past weight loss was done with intense calorie restriction and intense workouts. I'm trying to do things in a more healthy way this time around.
