    You still active and logging?

I don't show you around for a while.

    The crud is creeping closer.

Heads up?! The spring crud is making rounds. Two of the dojo students were out sick last week. My trainer was out Monday with a bug. The guy I trained with Saturday was running a fever of 104 Tuesday. I taught with a guy who left class sick Wednesday. My teacher was sick three days last week with a fever and tonight his wife and son are sick. I wish sick people would stay home!

    I can relate

Tracking exercises when someone else sets it up is a pain. I struggle with the same thing. Maybe just set up one or two basic workouts and use them to represent those days. Or log just the bits that are important to you like time or distance running. The first time needed to lose weight I didn't count calories. I just cut out the unhealthy stuff processed white food and high fat, fried stuff. I ate 5 or 6 times a day in small meals. The up side of that was that I never got hungry and had bad days. But I was 10 years younger and had a metabolism then...

    Goals

I struggle without goals too. My current push is to be ready for a testing in May. I will push hard for that goal, then I need to have more. I am always better when I have accountability too. I can push working out at the gym by myself for a few months but I get bored and need someone to workout with. Goals... My other two goals are pretty minor in comparison: to be able to do one unassisted pull up from a dead hang and ten perfect push-ups without pain. I would love to be able to run again...

    Current goals vs. future

My only concern until May is doing a half marathon with my Sister without getting hurt in the process. Since our only concern time wise is that we make it in the four hours given (which somehow I'm doubting will be a problem) I'm doing massive power walks every other day with brief bouts of running residually added in. All in hopes of avoiding stress fractures, or a potentially unbearable case of the shin splints. I'll be adding in resistance training this month, concentrating on my core... And that is where I'm at now. What about May? I need to dig down deep and figure out what my new goals will be. I am a very goal oriented person, so I need it to be a little more specific than "look good naked" for the sake of motivation. I used to love free weights, but you really need a spotter to go far into that, and I don't have any reliable work out partner. I'm gonna have to ponder on this.
