    Guess who's back

    Well it's been a while and I've had a bit of R&R with the hol's, so it's time to get back on the bike, after all I am 1200 miles behind and the leader is doing about 25 miles a day. I noticed your doing awesome with all your goals. I decided that i would commit myself less to work and more to family and fitness. Keep up the good work and catch up soon.

    be safe while traveling. it's a crazy world out there. Nice job on those A's. I haven't hit the pool is months. I don't think i can do it during winter, even though the pool is indoors. I'll return to swim with you guys in spring. P.S. thx for the translation website. I've already used it!

    Thanks for the motivation. I think even though it is a half pound I still feel better than when I started so Yay for the half pound. Only more where that came from. I hope your week will still work for workouts and you can get your 5 in. I will be traveling to my small small home town. No gym. I guess I am going to have to get creative for workouts come Wednesday.

    Christmas week and travel

    Travlelling this week and weird gym hours. Will make Christmas week a challenge to hold a seven day streak. I am shooting for five, still an "A" but would like to make it six. Will not get any pool time after this evening for possibly a week.

    NOt the sweets this season but the wine

    I am doing well with avoiding the traditional sweets this year, but the wine with good food seems to be foiling my efforts. Guess I will have to cut this out completely for a while.

About Me

While I have always enjoyed physical activity I was never more than an average athlete, perhaps it was the childhood asthma, maybe it was poor coaching, or perhaps I was just lazy. After completing college I became more structured in my exercise, and ever since I have gone through two year cycles where I go to the gym 3+ days a week, followed by a similar period where I just can not find the time. Usually it is career change or a continental move that causes this. With the arrival of twin daughters in 2007, and after attaining my greatest weight ever I made the decision that if I did not do something about my physical condition immediately I might not be able to keep up with them by the time they reached their second birthday. A very sobering and depressing thought. The usual aches and pains ensued, but instead of being hooked on exercise after three weeks it took a full eight weeks. Exercise while not a passion, is once again a required source of enjoyment and balance in my life. The discovery of DailyBurn has tapped into my competitive nature and helped me visualize my progress as well as motivate me. Currently my focus is building cycling stamina and weight loss.
