sumnerfan's Journal
What happened to my entry?
Hmmm . . . I typed a long journal entry and apparently I lost it. Oh well, it was a pity party anyway. Goals: Weigh 175 July 1st. Weigh 165 August 1st. Attend Zumba and one other class on Mondays this summer. Use the Wii for 30 minutes 5 days a week. Walk 5 days a week. Plan for the coming school year. Become physically and EMOTIONALLY ready for the coming school year.

I didn't want to, but I did it.
Earlier today I posted my exercise plan as if I had already done it. At that moment, I fully intended to walk three miles today. Then life happened. I helped my daughter get ready for camp. I took my daughter to basketball practice and worked in my room. I had to run to Walmart (a 30 minute drive) to get some last minute things for her. And at 8:45 I really didn't want to get up and go for that three mile walk, but I did. I'm back and I'm proud of doing what I said I was going to do. I'm sweaty, I'm tired, but I feel good. Today was not perfect but I am definitely on the right track. Dinner could have been better but I made some good choices today and that makes me happy.

Holy crap!
I had no idea that sandwich was such a diet killer. That's a bummer! On the up side, I finally got to the Vitamin Shoppe to get the Nectar I've been wanting. I choose strawberry kiwi on the recommendation of the guy working there. I hope I like it. I also picked up some healthy things I like to eat like cottage cheese and the makings for egg white mcmuffins.

Brrrr . . .It's not supposed to be cold during spr
I hate the cold. My grandparents moved here from Upperstate New York to avoid the cold and I am so glad they did. That being said, I've been doing a much better job with food. I still crave sweets. I want them morning, noon, and night. I did some lunges yesterday and it was sad. I did one exercise well but then everything else suffered in form. Today my legs are weak and sore. I am so out of shape, but I know that I just have to keep plugging away and I will get where I want to be. The nutrition log is really helpful. It's shocking to watch the calories and nutritional stats add up.

Spring Break is finally here.
Spring break is finally here. I'm so excited to get a little time off. Unfortunately I have plans for more than half the time we have off already. What I want most is just to be home and relax. Sigh. So this week has been a little better for exercise but nutrition was less than stellar. I don't think I like the advanced features. It keeps updating my nutritional goals which I find very confusing. We are going out tonight with friends. I have a million things to do before then. I need to exercise, do laundry, do the floors, dust, and begin packing for our trip tomorrow. We are going to visit family in Middle Tennessee until Tuesday. I should have computer access so I'm going to keep up with things here and try not to get derailed. I'm sure there will be a fair amount of temptation but I'm going to focus on making the best choices that are available to me and getting some type of exercise in every day.
