Jump rope
RM - Jumpropes are awesome! When I was in the Corps, we often found ourselves crammed onto small ships (LST's &/or LPD's) where there wasn't any room to run (literally) for extended periods. I kept a leather speed rope in my gear for just such times. You can get a great workout. Try intervals (1 min fast, 1 min break, 2 min skipping, 1 min break, etc). It will kick you in the tail, I promise!

Home From a Long Break
I'm glad to say that I did quite a bit of working out while in NY - my mom has a personal trainer come to her home, so he kicked my butt a few times. Had me boxing - said I was a natural. It was fun - and quite a workout! But, even with the workouts I did - I gained 1.5lbs and fell of the challenge wagon. So, here I am, Day 1, Week 1 again.... and more commited than ever. I was able to show my family that I could be active while on vacation - but the heavy food and booze and smokes really set me back. Had a great workout today - am working on better eating still - and loved getting jump rope into my routine. Wondering.... anyone find jump rope as an exercise here?
