Getting back to it
alright, it's winter and the City 2 Surf is coming up fast. Been running a bit and trying to eat right ... let's see how this goes.

Feeling better
Not 100%, but close enough. My throat has balanced itself out, my sniffle is gone and I don't really ache at all. Little tired, but nothing major. Minor speed bump, and we're off! I used to be a little underweight at 76-odd Kgs, so I figure get down to 79 and add fitness to the mix.

FFS I hate being sick
Caught something Friday night, was OK through Sat but limped through Sun. Just getting back on my feet now, really. Tomorrow should be 95% - my aches are going away and I actually feel awake. Really rotten timing, but can't just put this fitness thing to the side again.

Good luck mate. I found that diet was the biggest factor in weight loss. Get that right and you're set. Initially I was amazed at how little you need to eat when you're sitting around a desk all day.

Starting today ...
I don't make New Years Resolutions. But today marks 7 months here at my new sedentary job. I started here weighing about 77kgs - only a couple months in I was at 82kgs and I have not weighed myself since. Starting today I intend to follow through on what I've always said: that I will never allow myself to get fat; and that I desire decent muscle tone and overall fitness. I have the shoes, I have the speedrope and a lot of holes to dig. Currently shopping for weights so I'll be pretty much all set for when I get home tonight. Wish me luck!
