About Me
-- I was overweight and had been since about the age of 9 -- I started running the winter of '09. I completed my first half marathon the following November :) -- I go to the gym twice a day on business days. 25 minutes of cardio in the morning. then another 30 minutes of cardio in the evening and conditioning. -- On the weekends I run outside :) -- I love hiking! -- I am a singer and graduated with a degree in Vocal Performance in '07 -- I currently am putting that degree to good use because i'm an... administrative... coordinator. oh wait, total waste. haha. -- i'm actually combining the administrative world with performing arts world and started grad school in the fall of '09 in pursuit of my master's in Arts Administration :) -- Basically, my life is amazing.

thisreal4ever's Journal
2012 catch-up
seizures (both at the gym - 1 in sarah's class, 1 during training session with Serge,) bad/frequent panic attacks, medicine switches, stopped working out at night, panic attacks subsiding, learning WAY too much about the human body in relation to anxiety/panic and physical activity, going to pick up working out at night again hopefully... soon, running in the morning saves my life, I stopped counting calories months ago, I had a training session this morning and it was my first full body work out in an over a month... aaaaaaaaand here we are. Pretty depressing right? But today i feel really good. So I'll take it. Serge changed up my workout given the active workouts CLEARLY weren't working out :( no more squat jumps/shuttle runs/ball slams, etc. SO bummed. it's what i really lived for. BUT, i still want to keep myself healthy and fit and Serge isn't giving up on me. So.... we keep on keepin on! :) So far so good.

Last Friday I had my first training session in 3 weeks due to my bronchitis. we tried having one in between but i almost passed out. literally. Needless to say. it was embarassing. i am SO OUT OF SHAPE. I also ran this morning for the first time on the treadmill for the first time in a very very long time. It was rough. I'm going to stick to the tread for a week or so. the transition to cold weather running is going to be interesting.
