Today's Weight
This week was my rest week-no lifting. But I gained .5 lbs. Not sure I actually gained any muscle. Although the Omoran body fat monitor said my body fat % went down to 22%, which is a 1% drop. I thinks its all kind of squirelly and probably water weight. We will see what next week brings. Back to the weights, thank heavens! I miss them!

Pictures tell the whole story
Today I started looking through old pictures as I was trying to get some stuff out of my basement. Just when I was feeling down about my body, the old pictures gave me some perspective. I found my "BB King" picture. I am standing in front of a statue of BB King in Memphis. There was a little to much similarity between the 2 of us. When I first saw that picture I knew it was time to do something. Sadly, it took a few more years for me to really get it together. But the point is I did. Sometimes we just really need that honest look at ourselves to put us on the right track. Finding that photo today gave me some perspective. I have come a long way and should be proud of my progress. 20 lbs gone and kept off for 9 years is a big accomplishment and I should always remember that. A pat on the back to me. :)

Hello
So her I am finally, after much pressure from my husband. While my fitness journey is not new, I feel like I have entered a new phase. After years of working on losing weight, I am now trying to gain some muscle. So I will have to fight the negative feelings I have always associated with the uptick of the scale and try to replace them with positive ones. I also feel really focused and really passionate about what I am doing. Mentally and spiritually I am in a good place. I feel more positive and confident than I have in years. I want to harness this postive energy not only for my own transformation but to help others. So the other part of this new journey is to get my training certification and see if I can translate that into a career. So here I am to share, which is also a big step for me. This has almost always been MY journey. MY way. Now I feel to be successful I have to open myself up to the world and be real and honest.
