Hey! I was wondering what you think of the Pro workouts on DB? What are they like? I cancelled my Pro membership a while ago because I wasn't using the site, but I'm back here to get my eating back on track. Just wondering whether it's worth going back to Pro just for that (I don't really need the other Pro features like extra nutrient tracking and meal planning).

Slow and Steady
So I've been losing about a pound a week for the past three weeks. The way it's been working is that I eat well for four days a week and I manage to lose1.5-2lbs and then I spend the weekend partially undoing that, leaving me with about 1lb/week of weight loss. Honestly I'm liking this pace, working out is easy (mostly kung fu and snowboarding), my diet is easy (4 days a week) and there is no reason to mess with it. If ever a weekend comes around where I can spend a little more mental energy on eating better I'll go for it, but that's just a bonus as far as I'm concerned.

The kung fu workouts sound like fun! Keep it up! I should try it myself sometime :) I am coming back after a couple of months in the wilderness - I moved countries so it took a while to get into the swing of good habits. Anyway just wanted to check in and say hi and happy new year!

Exercise Good
I absolutely love my Kung Fu workouts. They are incredibly fun, insanely challenging and I never want to stop. There is nothing quite like beating the living crap out of a heavy bag; well except maybe beating crap out of somebody I don't like and there are plenty of people like those around. I think I would start with Alan Derschowitz - he deserves a solid punch in the throat.

Week 1: Done
After neglecting my health for a while, I'm back at it. I just got done with the first week of what I have done as 13 weeks of continuous effort. I have a number of goals for these 13 weeks (90 days): * Get down to 206.5lbs (30lbs of weight loss) * Find relief for my plantar fasciitis and my knee ache * Run an 8 minute 1-mile * Run a 30 minute 3-mile * Do 10 pullups without rest * Do 40 pushups without rest * Wakeup before 7 each morning * Sleep at least 8 hours every day I have a pretty good plan for how I'm going to go about this - It's a secret formula involving eating less and exercising a whole lot more. We'll see how well it works.
