Cut season is well under way, and I'm seeing some good progress so far. Down to about 176, but I'm seeing significant visual progress. My abs are starting to become visible, more definition everywhere. Off to a good start. More updates to come

    12 more days

Just got back from the best workout I've had in recent weeks. Still have a lot of stuff outside the gym bothering me, but it felt great to bust through some plateaus and finally hit my goal weight after working towards it since October. I'm excited to see the gains I can make with these last 12 days in mass season.

2 and a half weeks to go

Only a few more weeks to go in this mass season before a week off, then cut season. I'm currently only 1.2 pounds away from my goal, and I hope to keep up the pace I've been at. Everything has been going pretty well lately. Diet has been solid, workouts have actually improved. I'm not feeling super motivated due to things outside the gym, but I'm using that frustration and everything to push myself in the gym and it seems to be working so far. We'll see how the rest of this week goes.

    Another update

This week has been terrible for sleep. Intramural hockey games Monday and Tuesday night and ridiculously late times resulted in about 10 hours of sleep those 2 nights combined. Lack of sleep messed up my workouts, I was planning on starting my 4 day split this week, but I've been so tired I couldn't do it. I had to stick with the 3 day split this week, and next week I'm starting the 4 day. The workouts I had this week so far have both been solid, which is encouraging. Last thing for this week: I'm starting creatine, hoping to get over the plateau I've been at.

    Late mass season update

I'm well into my first true, dedicated mass season. I wasn't sure what to expect, but to this point, I'm not incredibly pleased with my progress. I've gained some fairly significant muscle without a ton of fat which is good, but my numbers just aren't where I expected them to be. By the start of cut season (March 15) I was hoping to be 185, but now I'll be lucky to hit 180. Short comings aside, I've definitely noticed strength increases on every lift. My max on bench has already gone up about 20 lbs, my arms, chest and legs are all noticeably bigger. I'm going to really throw myself into this last month and a half I have left.
