    I'm over 90% fat free!

    i'm not sure i'm measuring it exactly right, but i am trying to follow the directions in the guide. Anyway, this morning, i was under 10% body fat. my goal goal is 8%, and as i have progressed over the past few weeks, that's not too far off. Just have to stick with it!

    roller coaster

    My weight seems to be so up and down all week. On weigh in day, after a weekend, it's back down again, but at the beginning of the week, i am fresh from not doing the stairs at the office all weekend. ionno if that's the whole thing. Overall, it's going down though, so that's what really matters. Also, my calves look more chiseled, so my limbs are still leaning out. i've lost inches around my waist each time i've measured recently, and that's my number one priority right now, getting rid of the big belly. Three weeks to go!

    Off Plateau

    After adding cardio again, in two days, i have lost 4 pounds. FOUR! My routine now looks like: walk a little over a mile to the office (the long way around, 21 minutes), climb stairs ground to roof twice (about ten minutes), and do twists in the middle of the stairs someplace. Then after lunch, climb stairs again, ground to roof three times (15 minutes), and then on the way home, ground to roof twice again, plus another mile walk back to my car. All tolled, it adds to around 80 minutes of cardio, and an estimated 500 calories of workout, and i haven't picked up a dumbbell at all! But i am in dire need of new shoes now. i shoulda known not to buy sketchers again, but i did. Next time it'll be something with a thicker sole, and maybe more cushion under the ball.

    Plateau

    My weight loss has plateaued, so i am adding more cardio. But i don't want to get all stinky. So, after i get to work and drop off my sweater and frozen foods, and then again before i leave the office, i will take the stairs up and down a couple times. That adds in a total of 20 minutes a day extra cardio. Last night, while baking, i also did step aerobics for 10 minutes. If i have some time on the weekends, i could always squeeze that in before i go to bed or something. i was using just a blue plastic step stool out of the daughters' bathroom, so maybe i should try to get a proper step, instead of risking breaking theirs.

    My other fitness partners

    Today, after lunch at the pizza place where i just ate a salad no dressing, i was half joking and said "Alright, who wants to do after-lunch cardio now?" But one of the guys said he'd join me. It was kinda cool. i lost track of time, and our pace was pretty jagged i'm sure, but it was cool to have someone else i know who cares about fitness a little bit. It was great. And we even bonded in the stairwell a little, talking about college, and diets, and lots of work stuff. Good times!
