About Me
I've never been very sporty, but I love to run and do yoga. I think the best part about running is the moment when you feel like you're not moving at all, but suspended above the ground and the earth is gliding underneath your feet.

So far...
I've kept up with my workouts every week, although sometimes I deviate from the plan I signed up for. I like to alternate between different activities, like bicycling or yoga, so I just do what feels right, 5 times a week. And I wouldn't be able to keep up with it if it weren't for my sister. She does all my workouts with me, and shares many of my fitness goals, so it's nice to have a partner in crime. She also keeps me motivated, not so much pushing me as how I feel when I'm with her: I don't want to let her down. So its the end of March, and I haven't quit yet! Here's to three more months of progress!

2012
Its a new year and time for me to get back on track again. Enough indulging in the holidays! I really want to increase my flexibility and overall fitness, so I think I'll do the weight loss training again, with yoga in between. I want to get to a healthy place!

Greek Salad Conundrum
I posted that I ate some Greek Salad as made by Ralph's or "Gourmet Salad." And I posted the nutritional values as listed on the package. But, I did not eat the olives (I hate olives) or very much of the dressing, and I think this would make a significant difference in the actual amout of fat I had consumed, don't you? How do I go about fixing that?

Tale of a carb addict
I was trying to eat right, really! I avoided fatty meat, shunned cakes and ice cream, and even said my farewells to bread and pasta, but still! My carb count was too high! What was it that was bringing me down? Fruit. I. Love. Fruit. I would eat a whole apple and banana on any given day, and even a 32 oz fruit smoothie from juice it up! I had no idea that I was totally addicted to carbs. I thought that eating whole fruits was good for me. And it is, just not in the quantities that I was eating them! So I did a little research and discovered that some fruits are more loaded with sugar than others, and if I steer towards those, or maybe just cut my apple or banana in half, I can significantly reduce my carb intake. Hooray! So, one more little success I can check off on my to do list.

Horrible Weekend
So I got my purse snatched on saturday while I was at the beach. Kinda threw off my groove for the whole weekend. I've been going through the agonizing process of replacing things and moving on. I just want to forget this weekend and pick up where I left off. So on to another week of successful eating and exercising!
