And back it comes
Well, bodyfat went up 1%, but maybe that's because I've had to quit running before my workouts due to injury, though have still kept up the cardio on the stationary bike. This week have started working out on an empty stomach, seems to help blast the bodyfat, as dropped over 0.5% in a week. Will be interesting to see what happens next week - would like to be back under 16% again.

Bodyfat Breakthrough Pt II
Weighed in at 15.8%, so have lost over 1.5% body fat in the last 6 weeks. Very happy. 14% still looks like a stretch target, but if I can get under 15 I will be thrilled. There's nothing like seeing results to help you stay focused. I've been on the supplements for about 10 days now. Not sure if they had anything to do with, but quite possible.

Supplements?
I've been on the protein shakes for years, but thought I'd try out HMB and some Fatblasters with creatine (Mosashi) to see if they do anything. I plan on trialling for one-month, and I'm only a few days in. The fat blasters are very dehydrating and actually make you a little spaced out. They're supposed to metabolise fat and transform it into energy that your body uses during activity. The HMB is supposed to prevent the breakdown of protein so help with recovery and muscle growth. Also picked up some calipers to measure body fat to see how different it is to my electronic scales. Looks like 1/2 percent, but my official weigh in isn't for a couple of days yet so will be interesting to compare the results (of course I'll believe the lowest of them)

One month down
Well have managed to stick to the diet, and stick to the 4 days a week, plus an extra run. 4 weeks seems to be the turning point and am really starting to notice some results. Food is so important to progress. I've not had any of the nightly treats I used to reward myself with, nor have I abandoned my diet on the weekends, when I used to think, I was good all week so why not? Making sure I eat before the gym, and straight afterwards. No takeaway and have stuck to my diet. Of course, the sacrifice is little variety, but I think its worth it. Food is fuel for the most part, and I save my indulgences for when I go out to eat. I'm still struggling to put on the weight, so I guess it means I'm not eating enough, even though I feel like I am. Will think about adding an extra meal next to the diet. Body fat is in the right direction though - have lost 1% in the last month. Not sure if 14% is a realistic target, I'll need to re-evaluate after the next 4 weeks. Also a question of intensity. My workouts are now around 2 hours long: - 20 minutes run - 1hr weights - 30 minutes abdominals Staying focused on building strength and endurance by increasing weights, and reducing rest time (a stop watch is essential at the gym - it's amazing how quickly the minutes can fly by if you're not watching) Well 4 weeks down and happy with the results. Can feel them, and even see them (a little) - looking forward to more changes over the next 4 weeks.

Body Fat breakthrough
Finally shifted some body fat today! Has taken two weeks but happy to see the results on the scales. I have tried to stay focused and committed, and push myself to work harder - seems to be paying off. Keep it up Wazza!
