weeble's Journal
Title...
I'm back. I think. I've been continuing to work out regularly and I like to think I do a good job eating most days, but I'm definitely not trim. I'm really bummed out by the way my pants fit right now. I don't want to weigh in and that tells me that I'm playing a game in my head. I need a dose of honesty. On the up side, I had a really good 4.5 mile run today, the first of the spring and that's usually an exercise in discipline and humility, but it felt good and easy, and my time was respectable. So what I've been doing has maintained a decent level of fitness.

I'm really happy with the first month of P90x. I missed one workout and for the most part had my diet in line, though my fat calorie ratio is still to high for the P90x guidelines and I'm coming in at the low range for total calories. I'll work on that. I didn't get a good weight reading when I started. On the first day I got on the scale, saw 190-something flash at me, moved the scale to different part of the floor and got that 188 reading. Anyway, I know I'm lighter, tighter, and my head is in a good place heading into phase 2.

A success and a fall-back. I had great time training for and running a half marathon last weekend. Felt good in training, made huge gains in my running over 2 months. But I did relax my diet during training, and I know that I picked up some pounds and I'm probably back to where I was in Feb. Which is no big deal, but hitting 175 is a goal I've been public about, and it's reasonable, and I'm not going to let it go.

Well despite throttling back on discipline, I haven't fallen apart over the last 2 months. I'm going to kick it up to make that goal of 175.

Looking forward to the weekend! We should be able to burn some major calories on that one :)
