WilBloodworth's Journal
*NEW GOAL*
The last few weeks have been really confusing for me. I've been "good" related to eating well, getting sleep, and working out. However, I have seen negative results with respect to added fat gain (I believe). I've put on about seven pounds and I am extremely tired by the time 5:30 rolls around. I'm sleeping a ton and giving myself plenty of recovery time so I don't know what the deal is. I'm guessing my body is just trying to stabilize on a specific weight. That said, I'm going to try adding intermittent fasting into my diet along with the reduction of caffeine and the addition of "sprint" work in the middle of the fast. The fasting protocol I'm going to follow will be fast for 24 hours, then wait three days and fast for another 24 hours. The initial length of this protocol will be four weeks. I will re-evaluate at that point. The sprint work will be on the 12-hour cusp of the fast. So if I eat last at 7pm, I will do HIIT work circa 7am. During the fasting period, I will do zero strength training or crossfit. Only on non-fasting days will I do strength/crossfit work. Also, I will eliminate all consumption of alcohol and consumption of anything other than water after 7pm at night.

Corned Beef Brisket = Total Failure
We bought a pre-packaged corned beef brisket the other day at Sprouts. We followed the directions and basically it was so bad it nearly made me ill. It was horribly fatty and the smell is not something is appealing to either me or Julie. We won't make that mistake again!
