Yesterday I ran the Leipzig 1/2 marathon in a new PB of 1:55'54" - very exciting!

Tattoo
Got my first tattoo today; a reference to a quote that has gotten me through many tough times when I wanted to give up, and will undoubtedly get me through tough times in the future. Had coffee with a dear friend, lunch, 24km cycle around the lake, shopping, dinner....chilling on this beautiful summers evening.

Calories OR carbs
I realized a few weeks ago that I had been meeting my calorie requirements but going way over on my carb requirements; I made a few changes and started meeting my carb requirements. However, I exercise almost everyday (take 1 day off per week), usually running (8.5km) or cycling (27.5km) per day - alternating days, I am a lacto-vegetarian so my diet includes lots of carb rich foods, even if they are mainly carbs from vegetables and my weetabix for breakfast - however, because I eat so many carb-based foods although I am meeting my carb requirements my calorie requirements are now not being meet - they are frequently too low and I am finding that I don't have enough energy to exercise and enjoy it as I get light-headed - any ideas? Another issue at the moment is that I live in Germany where salad items are off the menu until they sort out the E-coli source, meaning that I am limited in salad items I can add to my diet and consequently I eating other carb-rich foods to compensate.
