Wren_Again's Journal
I'm strapping my pedometer back on
In an effort to be more active (and more aware of my activity level) I'm using my pedometer again. I'm also going to try to consistently track my walks here. Two weeks until we leave for our trip... I want my weight to be heading down, not up.

10 days of eating everything in sight = 5 pounds
The title pretty much sums it up.

Good news/bad news
My goal this week was to get to 165. Bad news: I didn't make it. I went from 167 to 166, then last night I went out to dinner and undid all my hard work. The good news is that I only gained one pound (before I got on the scale this morning I was mentally preparing myself for a gain of two to three). Today I'm going to "detox", which in my world means drink lots of water, probably have some green tea, eat lots of fruits, vegetables and lean protein (all whole foods) and minimal snacking. I'm going to cut myself a break and have my end-of-the-week weigh-in tomorrow. I've been working hard (with the exception of last night) and I'm going to focus on that rather than a momentary setback. :)

Check in
I did well this week: my practical goal was to get to 168, and my fantasy goal was 167, and today I'm at a solid 167.2. I'm especially happy with that number because we ate out this weekend, and I didn't go nuts food-wise. This week my goals are: to get down to 165 * kettlebell class * continue to eat well. I'm going to be dealing with a lot of stress this week, so it will be a real test.
