av grade
this is what my mate said 'Average Grade For runs or bike ride, it's the average grade of the road, which is supposed to measure how much you climbed or you went downhill. It's true that it is a bit strange, because most time you start and finish at the same point. So the elevation is the same, so the average is always 0 (finish elevation - start elevation / distance). I guess it's still interesting to record the average grade of the uphill part of your run or bike ride, so just to figure the grade of the road while you go uphill. That's is probably more true on the bike. Let say you go up a col, you might want to input the average grade of the climb for future reference. Am I clear?' so basically its the angle of the road or hill whatever like if its flat its just normal but you could have a treadmill on a slant or the road up hill which would change the av grade to 30% or so if on a slant hope that all makes sence
