Food Description
Mulling over a name for daughter Nell's new line of fig cookies, Paul Newman suddenly smiled and said, "Let's call them Fig Newmans." With Nell's recipe and Paul's inspiration, the first fig bar made with organic figs, organic sugar, organic flour, and without hydrogenated oils was created. Fig Newmans Wheat Free/Dairy Free variety are not only made with no wheat or dairy products, they are also made with palm fruit oil, which has no trans fat and no cholesterol, and has less saturated fat than butter. Fig Newman's are made with figs grown organically in California.
