in addition to that comment, do not cut out carbs completely. Put a limit on them but do not be afraid to eat carbs. Carbs help your brain function, give you energy, play important roles to assist in muscle building. That’s only if you eat the correct kind of carbs. For example, people say pizza and pasta are terrible to eat when trying to lose weight. However, if you choose whole grain pastas and whole grain bread on pizza, it’s good for you. Reduce the portion size of a usual huge bowl of pasta, eat pizza with thin whole grain crust, light on the cheese, and veggie toppings. I personally like putting “grilled” chicken on my pizza with some veggies, just make sure you don’t scarf a whole pizza down regardless. |

Try reducing carbs by limiting breads, rice, potatoes, and sugars, and replace with green vegetables(fibrous veggies) and lean protein. I would dedicate at least 3 days out of the week to do straight cardio in a variety of forms (i.e. treadmill, stairs, jump rope, elliptical) mix it up. I would do cardio for like no less than 30-45 minutes. |

Hi, New to this forum and looking for help. I recently purchased a Freemotion elliptical that really makes you work to get it going. I spoke with the company and they told me to loosen the belt. Has anyone had to do this? |

Yes, potassium is not listed on food labels and the only way to make sure the food contain potassium is by analyzing the ingredients list. Just see whether the ingredients are rich in potassium or not and you can get an idea. http://www.insignialabels.co.uk/barcode-labels.php Topic: Diet and Nutrition / nutritian values |

I calculated your average calories that will maintain your current weight with the level of activity your giving us. Your total calories for maintaining weight is 3,190. You’re eating way less than what you really need to. Now i don’t know what you do throughout your day, but this is assuming you don’t sit at a desk and you’re active a good portion of your day. That being said, you body might be trying to actually hold on to fat. You could be in some way depriving your body of nutrients you need or something else that your body needs to maintain. Try to keep a balance and actually eat a little more. Don’t hold back to what your body needs. Just stay away from junk food and sweets. |

To know if you are losing fat or not, track your waist measurement. It will get smaller as you lose fat, even if you put on muscle. Fast weight loss in the beginning is very normal – it will slow as you continue. That is also normal – aim for 1 or 2 lbs per week. |

Really what you have to start with is watching your diet. Start by reducing calories by filling yourself up with protein, vegetables, whole grains, and replacing bad habit snacks with good ones. A good way to replace sugar could be taking a Muscle Milk lite, it has zero sugar and a ton of protein that will satiate while also torching my sugar craving. You can use cinnamon to sprinkle on your morning coffee or oatmeal, the spice will help stabilize blood sugar and helps you feel fuller longer. Get some vitamin C to help balance the cortisol spikes that happen when you feel stress and it also helps you burn fat faster. Try bell peppers, kale or kiwi fruits. Your body will still need some type of fat intake though. No sugars though. Good fats include foods rich in Omega 3?s, like salmon, avocados & walnuts. These foods are full of nutrients as well. Avoid “white” carbohydrates – bread, rice, cereal, potatoes, pasta, and fried food with breading. Add to a good nutrition lots of sleep, 7hrs a night, and cardio exercise to get your heart rate up and burn fat. when you go to the gym do intense cardio and keep your hear rate up to burn unwanted fat. There is that way. I have close relatives whom could not adhere to the regiment and they found out about Zerona laser treatment. Which is working for them now. Hope this serves of some useful information. God Bless Topic: Fitness and Exercise / 3 simple (KEY) ways to lose body fat |

Motivation comes from inside. We all are attracted to greatness in life. Whenever we see our favorite athlete or a sport star we get pumped up. It is because we are attracted to greatness. But due to some reasons we chose to stay average. There is nothing in life that is impossible for anyone. All you have to do is – put everything you’ve got to achieve what you desire. |
