Recipe Description

Ingredients:

  • 3 large egg whites
  • 4 cups unsweetened flaked coconut
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (300 ml) can sweetened condensed milk (or you can use this sugarless version)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. Beat egg whites till very stiff. Set aside.
  3. Combine coconut, flour and salt.
  4. Stir in vanilla and milk.
  5. Fold in egg whites.
  6. Drop from a tablespoon onto a greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 14 minutes or until golden brown.

Low Carb Dark Chocolate Topping

Ingredients:
1 bar of Trader Joe’s 72% Dark Chocolate

Procedure:
Heat broken chocolate in double boiler (I just improvise by immersing a small pot in a big pot of boiling water)
Mix until well blended and chocolate turns shiny
Spoon on top of cooled macaroons
